Hi,
I just moved to Banff and I want to know what day is the garbage day and if it helps I’m living on Muskrat street.
Also, does council do large pickups like mattresses etc?

Hey Ryan, Welcome, and congrats on making the move to this wonderful town. Due to the fact that we live in a National Park garbage and recycling pickup is done a little differently here than in other parts of the country.

Because we do not want the animals to get into our waste and creating a wildlife attractant is illegal here there are no set garbage and recycling days where we leave our waste out on the curb. What we do have is “bear-proof” garbage, recycling, and organics bins strategically placed throughout our community where residents can dispose of their waste at their convenience.
